Underneath The Fit

Underneath The Fit: Prepare For What You Pray For

February 22, 2018

At the beginning of every year I make a list of the things I want that year – not materialistically, although sometimes that too…

We’re about to be at our 3rd month of the year! It seems as if time is moving faster than ever and truthfully I haven’t crossed off anything on my list. I began to resonate with that and almost became upset when I realized I’ve been making some mistakes:

1. Not putting easy-to-accomplish simple things on my list. I tend to write my biggest goals down and you should do this. However, you should also write the smallest ones down to give you a confidence booster. Your list can never be too long and crossing one thing off will give you the motivation to complete another.

2. I’m not preparing for what I’m praying for as Devon Franklin says. By this I mean that up until the last couple days I haven’t been taking the actions required to receive what I’m asking the universe for. I’ve always been the type to roll my eyes when extremely successful people say “work hard” because I believe in working smart. Except I’ve come to the realization that working hard is more than physically working hard. It’s also working on your mindset, the energy you’re giving off because it’ll be received and given right back to you, finding your passion, working on your confidence… working hard on yourself. That’s the hardest job you’ll ever have. For humans it’s easier to observe other people but you’ll be more powerful if you observe and understand your own self. You have to face your deepest darkest truths and then accept yourself for them. Only then will you feel comfortable enough to strive for your biggest dreams.

What brings you happiness? What brings you peace?

How will you get there?
